IRS Update

If you no longer wish to receive emails, please feel free to UNSUBSCRIBE below.

Hi, Esther. Wanted to send you over this quick update, as promised. Our unwavering commitment to excellence and compliance remains at the forefront of our service and we believe in proactive and responsible actions to serve our valued customers better.

As you may know, not every small business qualifies for ERC. Unfortunately, there have been numerous “pop-up” ERC mills that falsely suggest that all businesses qualify for ERC, among other false or misleading claims.

To help combat these bad actors and give the IRS time to clear the backlog of ERC claims, they announced that it was pausing the processing of newly filed ERC claims submitted after September 14, 2023 through at least the end of the year. They will continue to work on previously filed ERC claims received before the moratorium but with extended processing times.

As we explain to every client, the IRS qualification and eligibility requirements are complex and require expertise, experience, and time. We remain steadfast in our mission to educate American businesses on the ERC program and help qualified applicants receive the benefits that Congress intended for them under the CARES Act.

In light of these circumstances, we again want to strongly encourage all business owners to take a proactive approach to determine their eligibility before proceeding with the ERC claim process. We can assist you in finding out if your business may be eligible.

The company we work alongside has proudly served as a resource for American businesses for just over 14 years. Our mission of helping American businesses has been even more critical with the adoption of the Employee Retention Credit program in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ERC, as we at The HD Group who have been assisting our clients for some time now, provides critical support to qualifying small and medium sized businesses that continued employing their employees during the pandemic.
